CamelBak is a privately-held company headquartered in Petaluma, California, and is the originator and world leader in hands-free hydration systems. CamelBaks classically come in 1.5 L to 3.0 L back pack style primarily for biking, but smaller belt-type (830 mL to 1.3 L) packs for running and walking are also available. The CamelBak Company also makes bottles, general purpose backpacks, and some specialized military and law-enforcement gear, ranging from simple back-worn water reservoirs with little to no cargo capacity, to large rucksacks with numerous accessories. The first CamelBak products proved to be very popular among mountain bikers and motocross riders.
